Remembrance Park

What we know 0 of 3

Nobody has walked Remembrance Park and written it up, and there is no list of what is there. What this page can tell you honestly is where it is and who looks after it. The rest is waiting on a visit.

Remembrance Park is a small triangular park on Park Avenue, between High Street and Spring Street in Brockport. The village set the land aside as parkland when it first laid out the village. It left the park unnamed for years. It later renamed the park Remembrance Park. The name honors civilians who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church donated a Royalty Flowering Crabtree for the park. A sculpture by Jennifer Hecker, called ‘les Racines et Les Raisons,’ was added in 2006. The park also has a Victorian bench donated by neighbors and friends.
