Barry Street Park
Nobody has walked Barry Street Park and written it up, and there is no list of what is there. What this page can tell you honestly is where it is and who looks after it. The rest is waiting on a visit.
Barry Street Park sits between Barry Street and Lyman Street, northeast of the Erie Canal in Brockport. The park covers 1.5 acres. It has open space where people play games such as football. It has the only basketball court among the village’s nine parks, plus two pickleball courts added in 2014. A local group, BISCO, added playground equipment in 1999. A parking lot, sidewalk, and boundary fence went in during 2007. The next year brought toddler swings and benches. PetSmart gave a pavilion, with an accessible picnic table under it. It also added a climbing tunnel and better lighting. The Village Tree Board planted new trees in the park on Arbor Day 2012.
