Whiting Road Nature Preserve

What we know 0 of 3

Nobody has walked Whiting Road Nature Preserve and written it up, and there is no list of what is there. What this page can tell you honestly is where it is and who looks after it. The rest is waiting on a visit.

Whiting Road Nature Preserve covers 240 acres at 403 Whiting Road. Seven miles of color-marked trails cross woods, fields, and wetlands. They link to the neighboring Gosnell Big Woods and Herman Road Forever Wild Forest preserves. You can walk, run, bike, ride a horse, watch birds, snowshoe, or ski here. Leashed dogs are welcome. The preserve is an important stop for birds along Lake Ontario. Fires, motorized vehicles, and camping are not allowed. From October through December, archery hunters enrolled in the town program may hunt here.
