Tinker Nature Park covers 68 acres on Calkins Road in Henrietta. The Tinker family came from Connecticut in 1812 and settled here. They built a cobblestone farmhouse between 1828 and 1830. Six generations of the family lived there. The town took over the property in 1991. The park has the Hansen Nature Center and the Tinker Homestead and Farm Museum. It also has a small amphitheater, a playground, and a volleyball court. About 2 miles of trails cross wetland boardwalks and pass a gazebo overlooking a pond. Dogs are not allowed.
