Klafehn Park

The Town of Greece has not confirmed that this park is open to the public. We are checking. The town’s current parks list does not include it.

The land is also known as North Greece Firemen’s Field (Allen F. Speer Firemen’s Field). The North Greece Fire District runs the field and its pavilion at 3666 Latta Road, next door, and rents the pavilion for events. It seats 150 inside, with 12 picnic tables under an outdoor shelter in summer. Call (585) 392-7083 to rent it. We have not yet confirmed which part of the land the town owns and which part the fire district owns.

Klafehn Park is 73.64 acres of land that the Town of Greece owns at 3688 Latta Road, north of Latta Road and east of Manitou Road. The town’s 2013 trail map shows it as Klafehn Park, with nature trails. The town’s 2001 Community Master Plan lists it as a park with no developed land. A 1995 plan for the site proposed sports fields, courts, a pavilion with restrooms, a playground and a parking lot. The 2001 plan says to wait for full development until the area around it grows and sewers reach it. As first steps, it recommends a sign, an entrance road and graded practice fields.
