Cobb’s Hill Park covers 109 acres on the east side of the city. From its highest point, walking trails give you some of the best views in Rochester. Runners circle the Cobb’s Hill Reservoir. People sunbathe on the grassy shore of Lake Riley near the Culver Road entrance. The park has fields for baseball, softball, and soccer. It also has basketball and tennis courts, a playground for ages 5 to 12, and a teen fitness court. Two lodges, Lake Riley Lodge and Tay House Lodge, sit on the grounds. East of the reservoir, Washington Grove is a 100-acre old growth forest with large oaks, wildlife, and hiking trails. The City manages the grove with the Friends of Washington Grove. Dogs must stay on a leash, and bikes are not allowed on the trails.
